The Minister of Health, Fernando Ruiz placeholder image, announced that through resolution 327 the start of the Stage 2 of the Vaccination Plan that opens the possibility for people between the ages of 60 and 79 to be immunized.
“We especially seek that people who are in long-stay spaces, where this population is located, can be vaccinated to reduce the possibility of the risks of contagion,” explained the head of the Health portfolio.
The government It is estimated that 6.39 million people of those ages will be immunized in this second stage.

The official stressed that even if this new stage of the vaccination plan is started, those over 80 years of age who have not been vaccinated will be able to go to IPS to receive their dose.
“We have a good vaccination rate. At this moment we have 913 thousand vaccinated. We hope to continue with the rhythm to exceed one million people this Wednesday when we complete a month with the vaccination, “said the minister.
Ruiz stressed that there are departments that have already met the vaccination goal for phase 1 and there are others that are close to completing it.
Vaccination balance
