Nevertheless, the presidential candidate himself trilled on March 5, 2016: “I went into a supermarket in Caracas and look what I found. Could RCN have deceived me? ”The tweet reads. In this message, the former mayor of Bogotá made a strong criticism of the “misinformation” of some Colombian media about the situation in Venezuela.

After bringing up this trill, Petro would then face two possible scenarios, both with inaccuracies: assuming that what the senator told Semana about his last visit to Venezuela was in 2006 is true, his trill of 2016 then reflects that he did not go to Caracas at that time and therefore the photo is false; or, on the contrary, The photo is true but it is a lie that since 2006 he has not set foot on the territory of the neighboring country, as he told Vicky Dávila.
