The car fell from the fifth floor of a parking lot located in a residential complex in the Castropol neighborhood (southeast of Medellin), detailed the Mayor’s Office of the Antioquia capital in a statement.

The events took place around 11 in the morning on Monday in that luxurious area of ​​Medellín. The vehicle fell into a large green area adjacent to the building, in which fortunately no one was present at the time.

Besides the person deceased, the authorities said that the other two crew members of the car were injured and were taken to medical centers in the area.

For now, authorities are investigating the causes of the accident. They also seek to establish the identity of the person who died and his relationship with the other two who were injured.

The first hypotheses suggest that the driver of the vehicle lost control, accelerated, hit the retaining wall and fell into the abyss. The authorities, quoted by Noticias Caracol, detailed that the deceased person was 37 years old and that the two injured are 20 and 34 years old.

Medellín: two months ago there was a similar accident in that city

The incident occurred in a building located in the Villa Hermosa neighborhood of Medellín; There a woman reversed her car badly and lost control of it.
