The Governor of Valle del Cauca, Clara Luz Roldán, announced that there will be a Dry Law in the department this weekend, during the celebration of Mother’s Day.

Roldán indicated that this measure will begin on Friday, May 8 at 12:00 p.m. and goes until 6:00 a.m. Monday 11.

“This is a weekend in which we will all celebrate the existence of our mothers and grandmothers, but it is they who need the most protection at this time. This weekend the gift for our mothers is to make a videoconference, all from our quarantined houses, to express the love we have for them, “said the president of Valle del Cauca.

The Governor reiterated the request to Valle del Cauca to stay home this weekend, complying with the isolation order for the COVID-19 health emergency.

It should be remembered that according to the bulletin delivered by the Valle del Cauca Government last Monday, there are 1,097 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the department, of which 216 have recovered and 66 died.
