“They open industrial sectors related to the production of furniture, the production of vehicles in general, machinery and equipment, as well as some computer equipment. Secondly – very important – there are sectors of commerce, wholesale trade, that which sells to institutions, which sells to wholesalers, to industrialists. Furniture and fixtures, clothing and also vehicles enter the wholesale trade ”, affirmed Minister José Manuel Restrepo.

“It does not mean that someone can now go out and buy a garment in a store because that store cannot offer the service. It will be wholesale in the case of clothing and furniture. Yes, you can go to the stationery store, to the bookstore, for your pet’s products, ”he clarified.
He reiterated that local authorities will define how these measures will be implemented depending on the characteristics of each municipality or territory.
Municipalities without coronavirus
“They are going to be able to request exceptions in general to the different sectors. By complying with biosecurity requirements, validated by local authorities, different sectors will be able to enter these municipalities. The only thing that is being excluded is all those activities that have high levels of social interaction: a disco, a bar, a gym, those kinds of activities, “he explained.
Minister José Manuel Restrepo maintained that It is a gradual and progressive process that prioritizes the lives of Colombians.
“By starting to open sectors of the economy aggressively, we can generate a health problem. That is why we have been doing a gradual process, where each local authority becomes the central actor who holds the key to gradualness; each mayor defines in his context what his own reality is, how he validates biosafety protocols, in such a way that an orderly process is taking place. In this, the discipline of citizens will be very important, ”he pointed out.
Lastly, he stressed that air transport will be closed until the end of the health emergency.
