Minors between 6 and 17 years old will be able to go out half an hour for three days a week accompanied by an adult who is not over 70 years old or who does not have diseases that make them susceptible to risk due to possible contagion. of the coronavirus.

This will be possible from May 11 to May 25, the date until which the president, Iván Duque, extended the mandatory preventive isolation.

“Having children in confinement is difficult for Colombian families. Having them on the street implies a risk. That it is an adult person who is not at risk who takes them to the park. This is due to that search for gradualness,” said the Minister of Cheers, Fernando Ruiz.

The Minister stressed the need for the companions of minors to ensure that they will not use the children’s games that are part of the furniture of the parks, since these implements are potential transmitters of the virus.

The Government did not give indications on how it will control the departure of minors. In this regard, the governor of Valle del Cauca, Clara Luz Roldán, said that it will be a “responsibility of each parent.”
