This Thursday, February 18, the country reported another 200 victims of the pandemic. With that number, the national total of deaths was 58,334.
The figure that, fortunately, continues to decline little by little again is that of infections, since today 4,824 new patients and 5,817 recovered were reported, another indicator that gives hope.
With these figures, Colombia reached 2,212,525 COVID-19 cases in total and remains the eleventh country in the world with the most infections. Above are the United States, India, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Russia, France, Spain, Italy, Turkey and Germany.
The country also has 2,105,445 recovered, which means that to date there are 42,102 active cases.

Bogotá remains first on the list with 1,247 new patients. She is escorted by Valle (664), Antioquia (616), Cundinamarca (389), Córdoba (226), Santander (212), Boyacá (145), Barranquilla (141) and Huila (104).
And other regions that reported more than 50 cases were Santa Marta (90), Cesar and Norte de Santander (79 each), Quindío (74), Atlántico (72), Cartagena (70), Caldas and Tolima (64 each). u), Cauca (58), Meta (57), Casanare (54), Risaralda (53) and Magdalena (51).

- 14: Antioquia
- 10: Nariño
Finally, according to these data, the youngest people to die today were two 25-year-olds: a woman in Ortega (Tolima) who suffered from obesity and a man in Bogotá with kidney disease; and the oldest was a 100-year-old man in Envigado (Antioquia) with a medical history under study.

The Government received criticism for the low number of vaccinated, 18 in one day – which the Ministry of Health tried to explain – but this Thursday increased with the start of the vaccination plan in several cities and departments.
In the next week, two batches are expected to arrive that would add more than 200,000 new vaccines.
