After several days with a lower figure, Bogotá rose again in contagion and that pushed the national total a bit, which this Wednesday, February 17, stood at 5,103.
The Ministry of Health also reported 185 deaths and 4,523 recovered. In other words, to date, there are 43,339 active cases.
Colombia also surpassed the barrier of two million two hundred thousand victims of the pandemic. The global figures today are:

Coronavirus cases in Colombia today, February 17:
In the bulletin of the day, Bogotá remains in the lead with 2,723 infections and then there are Antioquia with 508 and Valle with 499.
They also reported more than 50 victims in Cundinamarca (225), Barranquilla (150), Boyacá (125), Córdoba (99), Nariño (66), Magdalena (56) and Norte de Santander (55).
According to the Government, with a cut-off at 3:00 in the afternoon, today 6 people have been vaccinated in Córdoba and 12 people in Sucre, a department that reported 13 cases.
Deaths from coronavirus in Colombia today, February 17:
The death toll from the disease stood at 185; 133 of those victims belong to the days before this Thursday: 2 in November, one in December, 10 in January and 172 in February.
The regions where there were more than 10 victims today were:
- 41: Bogota
- 22: Cundinamarca
- 20: Antioquia
- 17: Valley
- 11: Santander
- 10: Boyacá
The youngest person to die was a 24-year-old woman in Turbo Antioquia who suffered from cancer; and the oldest was a 96-year-old woman in Chita (Boyacá) who had diabetes and COPD.
