Witnesses say that a white Chevrolet Spark car and a motorcycle reached the Commercial premises located on Calle 82 with Carrera 53, an exclusive sector in the north of the Atlantic capital. At least two men got out of the vehicles and entered the premises and as soon as they saw Libardo Parra, they began to shoot him.
The man was paying for some products at the supermarket checkout and, apparently his escorts were close to him. They managed to repel the attack, but in the middle of the shooting was the cashier, who was seriously injured.
Alias Guajiro died on the spot. The attack was planned with precision and, apparently, the hitmen had analyzed the ex-drug trafficker and his bodyguards, which is why they got away well.
Witnesses assured that the shooting didn’t last long, but it was intense. At least they heard more than ten shots and the screams of some people who were near the place.
As soon as the gunmen left the scene, coworkers helped Katherin Martínez Sarmiento, the cashier who was injured with a bullet in the abdomen.
General Diego Hernán Rosero, commander of the Barranquilla Metropolitan Police, assured THE HERALD that the attack was against Parra González, who He was deported to Colombia in 2016 and set Barranquilla as his place of residence two years ago.
People who were near the warehouse when the shooting occurred said that ‘El Guajiro’ had arrived at the chain store in an armored truck and that he would have about four escorts. However, this information was neither confirmed nor denied by the authorities.
