Most of these measures would be explained this Tuesday or in the next few hours. The main one would consist of a subsidy for the payrolls of micro, small and medium-sized companies in the country.

According to Caracol News, these would be the economic announcements:

  1. A second declaration of economic emergency in Colombia to mitigate the impact of the crisis by COVID-19.
  2. New lines of credit for more economic sectors would also be announced: transport, education and services.
  3. There would be subsidies for the payment of payrolls for small and medium-sized companies. The amount could be close to 2 trillion pesos, less than the 6 trillion pesos that, according to Acopi, would be needed to subsidize payrolls.
  4. The Government would also announce a greater indebtedness, of 40 trillion pesos, to use in expenses to help the most vulnerable population in the country. In these grants is the Solidarity Income program, which would rise from 160,000 pesos to 320,000 pesos in the poorest households.
  5. A subsidy is also being studied for the leases of sectors that are most affected and cannot be reactivated economically. For example, the tourism sector, bars and restaurants.
  6. One more point would be the granting of new subsidies for home purchases.
  7. Modifications to the tax calendar of natural and legal persons.
  8. Finally, modification of working hours.
