Atlético Nacional defeated Boyacá Chicó 2-0, for the fifth date of League I-2021. The purslane fought and after 11 goal options, Jarlan Barrera and Andrés Andrade had the keys to the goal to keep the Antioquia team at the top of the table and, incidentally, get their third victory in the championship.

With 14 arrivals, eight goal options and 68 percent possession of the ball, Atlético Nacional dominated at pleasure in the first half over Chicó. The purslane team generated and generated, but between the poor aim of Jarlan Barrera, Jefferson Duque, Jonatan Álvez and Baldomero Perlaza, added to a Pablo Mina who was very attentive to contain the local’s shots, he sent the game at halftime with 0-0 on the scoreboard.

The Boyacense team started well and created danger on Aldair Quintana’s goal, but it lacked efficiency when finishing the plays.

At minute 4, Jarlan Barrera finished off and the ball hit the horizontal, about minute 20, the Uruguayan Álvez only missed the goal when he had an empty goal, Jefferson Duque at minute 23 also disturbed the goalkeeper Mina, while Baldomero Perlaza had a very clear play under the Boyacá goal, at minute 33 after an assist from Vladimir Hernández.

In the complementary stage, Nacional insisted on generating chances on the opposite field, but continued to sin in the last third of the field. Chicó endured and tried to make his rival uncomfortable, without having ambition to disturb Aldair Quintana’s goal. Until minute 12, Chicó approached with a shot from medium distance, but the ball passed deflected from the goal.

At minute 18, Yerson Mosquera finished off with a header from the center of the area, passing the ball very close to the left post. The Antioqueño defender took advantage of a Vladimir Hernández cross.

Until minute 20 of the second half, the purslane made the first change, while Chicó had already made four. At minute 22, Baldomero Perlaza had the goal again, but the ball hit the left post, the midfielder finished off with his head after an assist from Jarlan Barrera. After the local arrival, Chicó was encouraged with a shot, but Quintana stopped him.

At minute 24, Nacional’s goal came through Jarlan Barrera, who finished off with his left leg from the right side of the area. Samarium scored his second goal in this championship and after 10 clear options, they were able to hole one.

After the goal, Nacional held the rhythm of the game a little longer and Chicó regained control of the ball. The purslanes were worn and Alexandre Guimarães used three more changes to maintain the result and oxygenate the team.

In injury time, an Andrés Andrade off-hook from the left sector, reached the inside of the area and with his right leg scored the second and final goal for a Nacional who did more to take the game against a Chicó that had an inspired Pablo Mina , but by decantation, his bow was defeated.

In the end, the locals take an important victory that keeps them at the top of the table, while Chicó little by little shows a team more of the second division than of the highest category.

On the next date, Atlético Nacional will have rest, while Boyacá Chicó receives América de Cali in Tunja
