Carreto, a rural area of the municipality of San Andrés de Sotavento, in the department of Córdoba, has empty streets. Nobody goes to the field to play soccer, even though that was one of the distractions of the local children. Everyone is scared, after several of them claim to have seen the devil.
The story began when one of the parents of the children who played soccer in the place took a photograph. When he checked it, he saw that on the left side of it there was the dark figure of a man, who was also running in the direction of the ball.
It was a black and diabolical shadow that came out of the undergrowth, say some of the people who were in the place where the community congregates in the afternoons, in order to play sports and dissipate the routine and confinement due to the pandemic.
The image went viral and the inhabitants of the area warn that it is not a montage, nor a practical joke, but the presence of a being from beyond that was at that time with them.
The news of the supposed appearance of the devil spread like wildfire and the villagers immediately searched for priests and religious leaders to carry out an exorcism process in the place, indicating that there are evil spirits that want to harm them.
No one has done the process yet and there is panic in that rural community, which is part of one of the largest indigenous reservations in the country. They warn that they will not leave their houses until they drive the devil away from the place.
