Edgar. This is the name of the professional climber that the family of Colombian Julián Esteban Beltrán hired to look for him in the wooded area of Monserrat, the last place where he was seen alive, on January 6 after attending a clandestine party in Barcelona (Spain ).

And EL TIEMPO established that there are reasons to doubt that version.
In fact, the Barcelona authorities are not concentrating the search for Julián in the mountains and there is data found in the circles of friends of the Colombian, who traveled to Estaña on February 15, 3 years ago, to work as a barber and buy him a home to your mom.

The situation worsened because the Spanish consulate in Colombia notified his mother -Liliana Rivera- that she is not among the exceptions to travel to Spain (due to the pandemic).

The version
EL TIEMPO had access to one of the interviews that the authorities took with a roommate of Julián where there is key information.
He says that the Colombian was at a RAVE (electronic music) party together with other people. In addition, that the meeting was held clandestinely in a house called “El Xalet de la Muntanya”, located on Calle Monestir No. 6, in the Bruc Residencial urbanization.

He also supplied the cell phone of the owner of the place, who rented the house for that night. And he said that a young woman, named Daniela, stated that the last time she saw Julián was at 2:00 p.m. on January 7, 2021.

Intimidating phrases
The same woman said that the party lasted until January 8, but that she had not seen Julián again. According to her, days later she spoke with two friends who she insisted that they give her information.

The young woman said that the same two men attended another clandestine party with her, on January 13, but did not touch the subject.
The family has not had access to the information, but they confirmed to EL TIEMPO that the authorities have not carried out any search in the area where they say Julián went for a run.
“It is devastating. We have anger, pain, uncertainty. Hopes are fading, “said the father and Julián, adding that they do not know if the testimonies they have given are true or not.
Now they hope that the authorities advance in the investigation and that it is known where Julián is.
