After it emerged that Diego Duván Carrillo, the young man who wrote on his social networks, would be charged “I hope they kill that pig”, presumably in reference to President Iván Duque, Sources from the Prosecutor’s Office confirmed to EL TIEMPO that, for now, the procedure was withdrawn.

Carrillo had been summoned for this Tuesday, January 12, to a virtual diligence before the accusing entity. However, as this newspaper learned, the Human Rights Directorate of the Prosecutor’s Office, in charge of this case, confirmed that the accusation was withdrawn while the matter is being reviewed.

The crime for which the young man would have been prosecuted is that of instigation to commit a crime.
However, this does not mean that the case has come to an end. The prosecuting body, after analyzing Carrillo’s procedure, will determine if there are merits to file again the imputation of charges against him.
