The United States Democratic adviser, Michelle Manat, assured in an interview with CNN that she believes that the United States Congress will investigate the alleged intervention of the government of President Iván Duque in the United States campaign.

“It was a test in the last election, of Colombian interests and others, who wanted to see how far they could go. So if we don’t stop this, they will do it even more in 2022 and onward,” he said in the interview.
The Democrat, who collaborated to obtain the Latino vote in Joe Biden’s campaign, assured that this “It is an issue that will have an emphasis in the first weeks of Tony Blinken (secretary of state) and other officials of our national security.”
In this way, he indicated that he hopes that the United States Congress will investigate the disinformation campaigns in which figures of Colombian politics allegedly participated, in the framework of the last presidential elections.

For its part, the Government of Colombia has denied any relationship with the Donald Trump campaign.
