América de Cali already has its first reinforcements ready. Through their social networks, the American team presented Diego Novoa, a goalkeeper from La Equidad and Óscar Cabezas, a 24-year-old defender, from Rosario Central in Argentina.

“Diego Novoa wears scarlet! We wish our goalkeeper many successes in defending the two-time champion’s shirt, ”said the American team, which strengthens its goal for the 2021 season.

Novoa is a 1.86 cm tall goalkeeper from Bogotá who comes from La Equidad, a team where he had played his entire career. In total he played 229 games, scoring a goal from a free kick to Deportivo Pasto. Novoa had become an emblem in the Bogota team, of which he became captain for several seasons.

Novoa gets to fill the position of Eder Chaux, who went to Junior. The Bogota goalkeeper will compete with Joel Graterol, who finished as the starting goalkeeper in the consecration of the ‘scarlet’ against Santa Fe.

Cabezas comes from the Argentine Central Rosario and has not played officially for almost two years. He emerged from the minor divisions of Athletico Paranaense in Brazil and played for Patriotas de Boyacá. The cast from Cali hopes to confirm more reinforcements in the coming days.
