The authorities continue with the investigations to clarify the murder of Ricardo Cortés Rozo, former mayor of Sesquilé, Cundinamarca, and who before his death worked as an employee of the Cundinamarca Government Press Secretariat.
In the middle of the investigations, one of the hypotheses being considered is that of a reckoning.

The events were presented at 3:10 pm on January 2 in the neighborhood of Entrada al Porvenir, in the town of Bosa, when Cortés was in a bakery having a drink.
According to the information collected so far, the 47-year-old man was intercepted by two men who entered the bakery and, After a few words, he was shot in the chest.

According to the authorities, the men who entered the bakery tried to take the cell phone from the former Cundinamarca governor’s employee, but there was a struggle and one of the assailants drew a firearm and shot Cortés.
Later, the men fled the place in an unknown direction.
Although minutes after the events, the police who arrived at the bakery transferred the ex-mayor to Kennedy Hospital, there he arrived without vital signs.

For this reason, the authorities analyze as a hypothesis that the homicide could be part of a settling of accounts.
