One of the most important changes left by 2020 was the virtual education model that affected so many Colombians in different parts of the territory.

In an interview with El Tiempo, the Minister of Education, María Victoria Angulo, made it clear that the alternation model will continue to be implemented in the different educational institutions, as it happened in the final months of 2020, although not in all cities.

FECODE is one of the institutions that has most manifested itself in the implementation of the alternation model. Since August, when this measure was considered, they have stated their reasons for not complying with it because it would put the health of some teachers at risk, among many other consequences.
The minister said she understood “that doubts arose in such an atypical year as this, but for that A scientific committee was created for education issues, to do pedagogy, give a lot of information to all those in the educational community“.
In addition, he expressed that with “money from the FOME already drawn, and as needed, the pertinent resources will be given” to guarantee the implementation of the contemplated protocols.
