Colombia adds 9,594 infections and 228 deaths from coronavirus

Colombia added this Sunday 9,594 infections and 228 deaths by coronavirus, which accumulates 1,594,497 cases and the number of victims rises to 42,171, according to the Ministry of Health.

Despite the fact that the numbers of infections today are significantly lower than those reached in the previous two days, when the country touched 15,000 cases, the accelerated pace of the virus’ spread continues.

According to the health entity, of the new infections that occurred in the last 24 hours, 340 were registered in Barranquilla and 207 in the rest of the Atlantic. Regarding deaths, Minsalud reported 5 in Barranquilla and three in Soledad, one in Juan de Acosta and one in Tubará.

To date they remain active in the country 92,091 cases, while 1,455,975 appear as recovered.

This Sunday 39,617 were processed samples, 27,612 PCR type and 12,005 antigens, for a total of 7,874,546 tests performed.

There are 2,111 conglomerates in the country. The territories are: Amazonas, Antioquia (Ituango), Arauca, Atlántico, Barranquilla, Bogotá, Boyacá, Bolívar, Buenaventura, Caldas, Caquetá, Cartagena, Casanare, Cauca, Cesar, Chocó, Córdoba, Cundinamarca, Huila, La Guajira, Magdalena, Meta, Nariño, Norte de Santander, Putumayo, Quindío, Risaralda, San Andrés, Santa Marta, Santander, Sucre, Tolima, Valle, Vaupés, Vichada, Guaviare and Guainía.
