Colombia registered, this Friday, the highest number of covid-19 cases since the beginning of the pandemic: 13,277, thus exceeding the figure of August 19, when 13,055 were reported.

In total, 1,482,072 infections have been recorded in the country, although the report clarifies that 83,971 of those cases are active, while 1’134,021 managed to overcome the disease.

The epidemiological bulletin of Minsalud reports 232 deaths from the new coronavirus, with which Colombia reached 40,019 fatalities.

In addition, they mention that on this day the largest number of tests were recorded since the beginning of the pandemic: 75,263, of which 46,635 were PCR and 28,628 were antigens.

With respect to Valle del Cauca, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection reported 843 new cases and 21 deaths from covid-19 this Friday.

The deaths were registered in Cali (15), Palmira (2), Cartago (2) and one by one in Jamundí and Yumbo.

With this report, the department reached the figure of 124,174 infected people and 3,936 deaths from diseases associated with the new coronavirus.
