They control voracious fire in Incauca

Authorities in Cali alerted about a fire in the Ingenio del Cauca, better known as Incauca SA

At the moment there are no injuries or deaths in the company located, specifically in El Ortigal, in the municipality of Miranda, in the department of Cauca, whose offices are in Valle del Cauca.

The firefighters went to the scene and put out the conflagration. The fire department of the capital of the Valley, Cali, assured that they were alerted with a structural fire “in the Cauca sugar mill and several fire departments are on site, we are attentive to the call.”

At least seven fire trucks went to the scene to attend to the emergency.

Faced with what happened, Gonzalo Ortiz Aristizábal, president of Incauca SAS, issued a statement in the last hours in which he assures that the fire occurred in the water cooling tower, which was under construction.

In addition, he stressed that as soon as it became known about the conflagration, “they activated the security protocol.” which prevented the accident from causing deaths or injuries, but large material losses.

The president of the sugar factory thanked the Fire Department that attended the emergency and gave a piece of reassurance to the inhabitants of the sector where they reported that the situation is already under control.
