The victim was Rafael Fernando Moreno Clavijo, whose age is unknown, but he was dedicated to being a moneylender and who was alone at the time of the attack, according to Semana.

This is one of the first signs by which the Police ruled out that it was an attempted robbery, but rather, according to RCN Radio, it was a direct attack on this man, possibly due to a settling of accounts.

The authorities told the press that the two men had been following the victim minutes before and that they finally carried out the attack near the Bulevar Niza shopping center, in the town of Suba.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Simón Cornejo, commander of the Suba Police, detailed on Blu Radio that the man boarded a taxi on 26th Street, near the Gran Estación shopping center.

The gunmen followed him a couple of blocks and intercepted him on Carrera 58 with Calle 127, at the back of Bulevar Niza.

According to Lieutenant Cornejo, the gunmen shot him “on several occasions” with a silencer into the vehicle.

Precisely, the taxi driver who was driving the vehicle managed to take him to the Reina Sofía clinic, on Calle 127 with 20, but the doctors could not do anything about the severity of the wounds that caused him several gunshot wounds.

Knowing the route that the victim took, the Police began to carry out “traceability with video surveillance cameras, from the place of origin to the place where the events occurred, to achieve full identification of the perpetrators who committed this act,” concluded the Colonel Cornejo on Caracol Radio.
