Two policemen were killed this Friday in the Timba village, a rural area of Jamundí, a municipality located in the south of Valle del Cauca.
The uniformed men were attacked with a firearm when they were traveling aboard a patrol. The mayor of Jamundí, Andrés Felipe Ramírez, regretted and repudiated twice homicide
.
“I feel deep pain for the homicide against two policemen from Timba, Cauca, a sister town of our Timba, Valle. Territories separated by the river, but united by the wounds of the war, that demand peace and reject this criminal act, “he said.
He also noted that “the only way to overcome this tragic violence is to insist on peace” and that “everything will be done so that life prevails, which is sacred.”
