After the governor of Antioquia, Aníbal Gaviria, indicated last Thursday, December 11, that from this Friday a curfew would begin from 00:00 to 6:00 every day, this Friday the president modified the dates, and it won’t go until January.
Now, this measure will begin from midnight on Saturday, that is, from zero hours on Sunday, December 13, and will run until Sunday, December 20.
The measure, as reported, will be in force between 0:00 am and 06:00 am every day between the established dates. The modification of the initial proposal occurred after the Governor of Antioquia presented and analyzed it with the National Government and will be applied in the municipalities of the sub-regions of Bajo Cauca, Northeast, Middle Magdalena, East, Southwest, North and West.
“The measure then begins this Sunday at zero hours and goes until six in the morning of the same Sunday, and so on for a week until Sunday, December 20. That same Sunday or before we will evaluate the need, the relevance, the convenience of extending or extending these measures beyond December 20, ”explained Gaviria Correa.
He added that the measure is not yet taken in Urabá “because in line with the mayors and mayors there, we find that the circumstances do not warrant it, but it will be studied if it merits it in the future.”
Regarding the municipalities of the Aburrá Valley, he stated that “as Governor I have been in contact with several of the mayors of the metropolitan area. Here, as public opinion knows, there have already been the adoption of some measures by individual mayors; what we would like from the Interior is to be able to seek an agreement for a single measure, but that has not yet been built and therefore we have respect for the measures that have been taken by the mayors so far ”.
Regarding the exceptions, the president said that they are fundamentally the same as those that have been taken in the previous Remainder for Life measures, “the first and most important are emergencies and the second is of a labor nature, people who they have to do some kind of work during those hours, they can do it without any restriction ”, he explained.
