The controversial Colmenares case returned to the public scene in recent days a decade after the death of Luis Andrés Colmenares. The legal process is still awaiting a decision from the Superior Court of Bogotá.
Although everything about the death of the young man has already been said and shown, there are still several questions in the air. Based on this, RCN News published a special this Tuesday that included some unpublished images about a visit Laura Moreno made to the El Virrey channel in 2011, months after the lifeless body of Luis Andrés was found.
The photos were taken on May 4, 2011, several months after the death of the young Colmenares, and in them Laura appears showing the Prosecutor’s Office step by step how the events occurred, supposedly.
Colmenares case: new unpublished photos
According to RCN News, the young woman points out to the authorities where “her friend” Luis Andrés went, and the distance that, supposedly, she drove with him. One of the photos that attracts the most attention is the one that Laura explaining how she grabbed the young man so he wouldn’t jump into the pipe.
And in another it appears showing how he had gotten around the varanda that, supposedly, Luis jumped before he died.
“(Laura Moreno) never mentions in the reconstruction that Luis gave her the cell phone or part of the costume, as she herself mentioned,” asks Noticias RCN.
This other image recreates the moment when Luis, supposedly, jumped into the pipe, and how she immediately checked and could not see anything, adds that medium.
Given the version that the young woman gave, the Prosecutor’s Office still wonders why Laura Moreno never spoke about Jessy Quintero, another of those involved in the case and who had to pay house arrest for several months. On this, Jessy’s lawyer, Albeiro Yepes, he assures that he would not have to talk about her because what Laura did was show the route.
“She (Laura) was not told, nor asked to show a tour with Jeesy,” says the lawyer, quoted by that same medium.
The Colmenares family, for their part, questions why no authority took into account that Laura spoke of three different routes.
“She (justice) did not take into account all the inconsistencies that Laura said, she showed the fall that my son threw himself, I do not understand why she showed three different parts and the judge did not take that into account,” he assured RCN News Mrs. Oneida Escobar, mother of the deceased youth.
