A week after the crime of the 23-year-old vigilante Aldair de Jesús Cueto Díaz, in the municipality of Bello, north of the Aburrá Valley, the authorities found the whereabouts of the alleged perpetrator.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, it is Jhon Fernando Silva Úsuga, who was sheltered with an intramural security measure and must answer for the crimes of aggravated homicide, qualified theft and illegal possession of personal defense firearms.
The murder of Aldair, a supervisor for a private security company, was registered on November 27 when he discovered that someone was robbing an electronic teller machine.
“According to the investigation carried out by a prosecutor from the Immediate Reaction Unit (URI), the victim would have surprised the defendant when he stole 135 million pesos from an electronic teller located in the main park of the aforementioned town of Valle de Aburrá” , detailed the investigating entity.
At that moment, a struggle ensued and the victim was shot in the head, resulting in death.
“Servants of the Technical Investigation Corps (CTI) established that Silva Úsuga, an employee of the Brinks company in Colombia, had stolen a special key from the company to open the ATM and access the money,” said the Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the entity, the defendant only accepted charges for the illegal possession of weapons.
