One of those who gave details about the theft was Councilor Emel Rojas, who said on Twitter that the two criminals used firearms to intimidate the workers of the Banco de Bogotá branch, which is located near Park Way, in the town of Teusaquillo.

Rojas assured that the thieves “took the money in black bags”, and so far the amount of the theft is unknown.

The same version of the black bags was given by Blu Radio, adding that the criminals acted under the modality of ‘Blockbuster’.

The station detailed, citing witnesses, that the two thieves left the bank “calmly”, in the 19 street with 40 street, and that after that they “ran off” in an unknown direction.

Witness tells of the robbery at a Banco de Bogotá branch

One of those witnesses spoke on CM & Noticias and said that the men threatened customers and employees with guns.

“Two guys intimidated us and told us: ‘Don’t get killed.’ A subject got on the box and, I imagine, that was at that moment when he took the money, “he said.

The affected one assured, in the news, that at the time of the bank robbery “there was no private security or police”, and that was why the assailants quietly left and fled.

There are cameras in the bank and in the sector, so the videos could be of help for the Police to identify the thieves and the escape route they took, as this fact is yet another of those that occur daily in the middle of insecurity in Bogotá.

However, details are not known about whether the criminals covered their faces and whether any vehicle was waiting for them nearby.

In any case, the witness said in the newscast that there was a person who alerted about the presence of a man who was moving on a motorcycle, and that they saw him when he “looked out” at the office and then left there.
