The mayor of Arjona, Isaías Simancas Castro, has just confirmed that the young Juan David Aljurez was “rescued” by members of the National Police in a hotel in the city of Cartagena.

Although no further details have been given, everything seems to indicate that the 18-year-old SENA student would have been taken to that place, presumably under the influence of some substance.

“Thanks to the coordinated intelligence work and the investigation work of the National Police, the boy is safe,” said the head of the Arjoneros, who also said that they had “rescued” him.

It should be remembered that Juan David left his house on Wednesday morning for classes at the SENA de Los Cuatro Vientos, after leaving at 10 in the morning from his academic commitments, he had to return to Arjona, but he was seen taking a route of Transcaribe towards the Center of the city. Apparently he was in the company of a person.

From 10:30 in the morning of that day, his relatives tried to contact him, but his cell phone was always in the mailbox. His search began immediately thanks to the security cameras in various areas where he was seen.

It is waiting for the Bolívar Police Command to give details of what happened and to report if there are people captured. It is presumed that he would be under a human trafficking network in Cartagena.
