An act of justice by own hand was registered in Barranquilla when the community outraged by an alleged fraud ended up stripping and assaulting two men accused of taking advantage of their good faith.
Apparently these people offered a supposed painting, which some residents of the Montecristo neighborhood were encouraged to buy.
However, when one of them uncovered the product, he saw that what they had given him was soap and lime water.
This situation unleashed the fury of those who had fallen into the deception. A witness told El Heraldo that the alleged scammers had obtained close to 1,600,000 pesos from the sale.
The men who reappeared in the area were attacked and, in addition, their clothing was taken from them. One was completely naked and another only with a shirt.
Police led off the alleged scammers, who walked several blocks while being recorded by passers-by.
Authorities warned against taking justice into their own hands and formally denouncing these types of events.
