After the situation in which Daniela Cortés publicly denounced the Colombian Boca Juniors player, Sebastián Villa, for alleged physical assault, accusing him of gender violence, was released. The Olé newspaper in Argentina, through its website, carried out a survey of the fans and citizens in which they asked about how the Boca Juniors club should be doing in the face of this situation.
According to information from Olé, the survey included the participation of 16,318 voters, who 59% consider that Boca should not take any action against Sebastián Villa, since the justice system has not yet determined the Colombian’s guilt. However, 85% of that 59% who voted for the decision, ruled that it does not justify or forgive the player, but rather believe that Boca Juniors should make a decision, after justice has given a final verdict.
The other 41% of the participants voted for the option in which Boca should determine a sanction in relation to Sebastián Villa. 80%, corresponding to that 41% of the vote, determined that the xeneize club should terminate the contract of the Colombian soccer player while the Argentine justice determines guilt in the case.
For now, Boca Juniors has not communicated any sanction regarding the Sebastián Villa case, since the club is awaiting a final opinion from the Argentine justice, to apply the corresponding measure to the player.
