The group of 4 criminals was captured in the Normandía neighborhood, in the town of Engativá (west of Bogotá), when he was preparing to attack a family home, reported Blu Radio.

Figures show that insecurity is increasing in Bogotá
According to the most recent bulletin of security indicators of the Bogotá Security Secretariat, robbery increased during October 2020, compared to the other months of the year.
In October there were 7,275 complaints for the crime of theft to persons, while in September the number had been 6,615 complaints, reported the entity.

So far this year 66,610 complaints have been filed for theft of persons in Bogotá. According to the statistics of the Mayor’s Office, this shows the reduction compared to what was seen in 2019, when there were 104,394 complaints for this crime in the first 10 months of the year.
