A video circulating on social networks would reveal a possible case of police abuse in the department of Atlántico.

The recording of just 10 seconds shows how a man, who would be part of the Sijin, he picks up a detainee who is handcuffed and throws him with great force against a wall. The scene shows the pain of the victim once his back hits the wall and then he collapses on the ground.

The events were reportedly registered at the Police station in the municipality of Sabanalarga.

The newspaper El Heraldo was able to verify that the video is already in the hands of the Atlantic Police Commander, Colonel Hugo Molano, who stated that the events are the subject of investigation.

Police abuse in Colombia

In the first semester of 2020, the Attorney General’s Office had already carried out 138 disciplinary proceedings against uniformed personnel from all forces for alleged irregularities in their functions.
