The Third Criminal Court for Adolescents, with guarantees control functions, made the decision against the adolescent, who was apprehended on Monday, November 30 and did not accept the charges.
According to the entity, the adolescent, whose age was not specified, is allegedly responsible for the aggravated crimes of homicide, forced disappearance, violent sexual access and torture.
The research is related to disappearance and death of a 6-year-old boy, in the Villatina neighborhood of the Antioquia capital in August 2019.
The Prosecutor’s Office established that the victim’s family members saw him alive for the last time, on August 6 of that year. Ten days later The body of the minor was found in a wooded area in the same sector of Comuna 8 in Medellín, wrapped in a blanket and inside a sack.
According to the investigators of the Office of the Prosecutor, the crime would be related to a theft committed by several people and of which the murdered child would have been a witness.
The Institute of Legal Medicine determined that the minor also showed signs of torture and sexual abuse. It was also determined that “death was caused by mechanical anoxia [falta casi total del oxígeno en un tejido]”.
For the same facts and crimes, on November 6, 2020, Another 17-year-old was “sanctioned with 8 years of deprivation of liberty”, which did acquiesce to the charges “due to the forcefulness of the probative material.” This young man had been apprehended by the National Police on October 10.
