The Ministry of Health confirmed today that Colombia reached 1,334,089 confirmed cases of COVID-19. In addition, it already has 37,117 deceased and 1,225,635 recovered.

That means that in the 10th month of the pandemic there are 68,217 active cases, a number that continues to fluctuate a lot.

For the results of this Tuesday, the National Institute of Health analyzed 56,151 tests, 36,016 were PCR samples and 20,135 of antigen.

In the daily bulletin, Bogotá continues to lead with 2,675 new patients, followed by Antioquia (1,417) and Valle (1,058), which continue to increase their numbers, as in recent days.

With fewer cases, Santander (500), Cartagena (449), Cundinamarca (360), Norte de Santander (340), Caldas (284), Quindío (229), Barranquilla (220), Cesar (207), Tolima (206), Risaralda (166), Boyacá (164), Meta (135), La Guajira (110), Nariño (107) and Huila (105).

The death toll from the disease was 183; 162 of those victims belong to days before this Wednesday.

The regions that register the most contagion are also those with the most victims. Bogotá registered 30 deaths, Valle had 23 and Bogotá another 21.

Lives were also lost in Tolima (16), Norte de Santander (15), Cesar (9), Huila (8), Caldas and Quindío (7 each); Boyacá, Cauca, Cundinamarca, La Guajira and Santa Marta (4 each), Cartagena and Risaralda (3 each); Atlántico, Barranquilla, Bolívar, Córdoba, Magdalena, Meta (2 each); Casanare, Putumayo and Sucre (1 each).

Meanwhile, by age, the victims were distributed as follows:
– 0 to 19 years: no person.
– 20 to 29 years: one person.
– 30 to 39 years: 6 people.
– 40 to 49 years: 5 people.
– 50 to 59 years: 16 people.
– 60 to 69 years: 48 people.
– 70 to 79 years: 50 people.
– 80 to 89 years: 43 people.
– Over 90 years: 14 people.

According to this, the youngest person to die was a 26-year-old man in Medellín and the oldest was another 100-year-old man in Bogotá, both with the comorbidities under study.
