Borussia M’gladbach, Shakhtar, Real Madrid and Internazionale are starring in a tremendously entertaining battle to reach the round of 16 of the 2020/21 UEFA Champions League. Right now, the teams classified to the KO rounds are Borussia M’gladbach and Shakhtar: however, Real Madrid and Inter still have a chance to advance.
The 4 teams from sector B will face matchday 6 of the group stage with chances of entering the knockout stages. Borussia M’gladbach, Shakhtar and Real Madrid, depend on themselves. Inter, for their part, needs to win and that there is no draw in the clash between Borussia M’gladbach and Real Madrid.

Before starting exercise, it is important to remember that the first tiebreaker criteria are direct confrontations. That is why, despite having the same points and worse goal difference, Shakhtar is in a better position than Real Madrid (the Ukrainian team won its two duels against Zidane’s).
BORUSIA M’GLADBACH
➤ If Borussia M’gladbach beat Real Madrid, advance no matter what happens at Inter vs Shakhtar.
➤ If Borussia M’gladbach draws against Real Madrid, advance no matter what happens in Inter vs Shakhtar.
➤ If Borussia M’gladbach lose, advance if Shakhtar and Inter tie.
SHAKHTAR
➤ If Shakhtar beat Inter, advance no matter what happens in Borussia M’gladbach vs Real Madrid.
➤ If Shakhtar draws against Inter, advance if Real Madrid lose or draw against Borussia M’gladbach.
➤ If Shakhtar lose to Inter, eliminated (and would only go to the UEFA Europa League -as third place in the group- if Real Madrid lose to Borussia M’gladbach).
REAL MADRID
➤ If Real Madrid beat Borussia M’gladbach, advance no matter what happens at Inter vs Shakhtar.
➤ If Real Madrid draw against Borussia M’gladbach, they would advance if Shakhtar lost to Inter.
➤ If Real Madrid lose to Borussia M’gladbach, eliminated no matter what happens at Inter vs Shakhtar (and their place in the UEFA Europa League would depend on Inter not winning).
BURY
➤ If Inter beats Shakhtar, advance if there is no draw between Borussia M’gladbach and Real Madrid (they need a win at Di Stéfano).
➤ If Inter draws against Shakhtar, eliminated and last in the group.
➤ If Inter loses to Shakhtar, eliminated and last in the group.
