Before COVID-19, an average of 20,500 new cars were sold per month in Colombia. Faced with confinement, the figure plummeted to less than 220 units per month.
Then came the reactivation of the sector and the sales record began to rise like this:
- Mayonnaise: 8,900 units.
- June: 13,000
- October: 20,000
- November: 22,330 new cars.
This was stated by the National Association for Sustainable Mobility in its most recent report, which indicates that last month it became the best of the year for this sector, with an increase of 7% compared to October this year; and a negative variation of -6.8% compared to November 2019.
In these 11 months of the year, 161,500 vehicles have been sold. According to Blu Radio, the top 5 of the best-selling cars this year were like this:
- Chevrolet onix
- Renault duster
- Renault kwid
- Renault stepway
- Renault logan

The Andemos report also indicates that in the top 10 brands, Suzuki registered a significant variation of 79.9% compared to November last year and achieved positive variations for the third consecutive month.
“In the November records, the good performance of Volkswagen and Mazda also stands out with 16.2% and 5.2% respectively. In the ranking, Renault with 5,135 and Chevrolet with 3,366 registrations remain in the first places ”, concludes the report.
