The most relevant of the provisions of the Decree is the prohibition of opening for nightclubs and bars, as well as operational restrictions on events that involve crowding of people.
According to the Vice Minister of Political Relations of the Ministry of the Interior, Daniel Palacios, the provisions are ‘simple’ and are intended to expand the “Selective isolation, social distancing and self-care”.
For discos and bars the restriction will go up to January 16, coinciding with the closure of maritime and land borders in the country.

The vice minister recalled that local administrations can carry out piloting with the owners of these establishments as long as they do not affect the general spirit of the Decree, namely: reduce the number of coronavirus infections in the country.
