That statement upset Martinez.

“María Jimena, you have hurt me a lot in my honor, and let me tell you that you took testimonies from two guys who are in jail for having illegally kicked the Avianca union […] There were illegal jabs, and those gentlemen to join the JEP said that I illegally jabbed a few people, including the commissioners and peace facilitators, ”Martínez replied.

After giving his version of the events, the former prosecutor let the journalist know that in an investigation carried out by the Prosecutor’s Office it was found that “The only one who had been hit was Álvaro Leyva Durán, in 2013”, and that by that time he had not yet reached office.

Martínez, in turn, told the journalist that “those two criminals (those who point it out) are being criminally prosecuted” for those accusations, and asked her to keep that in mind from now on “so that he honors the truth and In reality, because with the honor of a citizen who wanted to serve Colombia, you cannot continue to gravitate ”.

“I respect the things he says, but when he is a public figure one has to get that information,” said Duzán.

Martínez, already to dismiss the interview in La W, said that he had proposed that “face to face with Julio (Sánchez Cristo)” because, according to he believes, The journalist has an “obsession” with him since she writes to him in columns and now mentions him in her new job at the station.

Also, that the investigations were directed against Marlon Marín Marín, nephew of alias ‘Iván Márquez’, and that it was he who was in charge of naming the names of several involved.

“At the dawn of the peace process we began to find that there was a drug trafficking cover, and we found multiple cases in which they were adding extraditable to the lists of demobilized ”, he argued.
