Claudia López spoke on Twitter, the same social network where images of the agglomerations that occurred in the south of the city at the inauguration of a Christmas lighting were published, for which the mayor received criticism.

The mayor of the capital began by saying that the Mayor of Bogotá did not hold a massive event, but rather a “tour of Illimani Park with multiple outdoor artistic activities.”

He explains that there was a countdown to turn on the lights, and at that moment the crowds appeared; more coexistence managers were lacking, according to her.

“Christmas is the happiest time of the year. Last night the emotion got the better of it and an agglomeration formed. With more coexistence managers we will correct this in the more than 2,000 artistic activities that we will have ”, he stated.

However, not only were people crowded together in the activity, but it is also evident that the mayor herself did not maintain the social distancing, which she promotes so much to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

The tumult of people in the south of the city, in addition, was seen on the same day (this Sunday) when agglomerations were reported in the center of Bogotá, while the cases of coronavirus have not decreased.

The capital also had a week of crowds for the discount days.
