Rugged chats: retired Colombian Army colonel abused a girl and ‘sold’ her to pedophiles on Facebook and WhatsApp

The investigation of the Attorney General’s Office indicates that a colonel, A former member of the Army, he led a network of child sexual exploitation through social networks. The girl, identified as “Cami”, aged 14, was one of the victims of this network. She was given to her clients for 1 million pesos under the condition that if they wanted to carry out a sexual fantasy they had to pay $ 500,000 pesos to $ 5 million more. If the client wanted to last longer with the little girl, he had to pay $ 250,000 pesos for each additional half hour.

In these posts “Jorge Mega” (another of the colonel’s aliases) He recommended that the girl should not be taken to a motel or other similar establishment as she looked very small. Therefore, it is recommended to rent apartments, farms or condos.

Some of the fragments, supplied by the Prosecutor’s Office, revealed the colonel’s “modus operandi”. “I’m very interested in that little thing (…) and, the truth is, I can’t put a price on your merchandise.” Jorge Mega responds: “Sure you will, that girl for money is letting go.” Subsequently, Mega sends photos of the girl in her underwear to a client named “Jacobo.”

After closing the deal, Mega created a group with the girl so that the three of them could have a conversation describing what to do and what the process would be like to meet.

What worries the Prosecutor the most is that conversations are being recorded where the colonel confesses to having had sexual relations with the girl since she was 12 years old. The client replies that if he convinces the girl to follow his thoughts, he is willing to pay any price.

And not only is there evidence of how the former Army member allegedly abused the girl, there are also conversations where he confesses to having practiced the crime before, “I have already been with smaller girls and everything without problems ”, Colonel says, to which the other person responds “The only thing I want and I say from my heart is to be with this girl, I see those photos and she makes me fly (…), what envy brother, I the most I have achieved is 15 years ”.

The former member of the Army, alias “Jorge Mega”, was captured on November 12, 2020 while walking his dog in the vicinity of his fiscal house. You must pay charges for pimping with a minor, in a heterogeneous contest, with the use and falsification of media to offer sexual activities with a person under 18 years of age.

Despite the fact that the Prosecutor’s Office already has the colonel, it must still implicate him with the false accounts he had on Facebook and WhatsApp. To prove the above, the cell line used is crucial, since, according to research, when verifying the owner of the line, the colonel appears. Also when triangulating the messages, the colonel’s cell phone was identified.

It is expected that the Prosecutor’s Office will advance in the case to get to link other possible accomplices of this network where a girl would be being exploited for about five years.

Cases of sexual exploitation are alarming, because, during 2019 and so far in 2020, the National Police reported more than 2,590 cases of girls used for sexual exploitation. Most of the girls are between the ages of 12 and 17.
