Fire in Riosucio, Chocó, leaves 2 dead and 50 houses affected

The emergency was confirmed by the mayor of that town, Conrad Valoyes Mendoza, who through a video posted on Twitter at dawn on November 29, warned about the size of the conflagration that had initially consumed 25 homes.

“I want to call on the National Government to help us, please. My town is ending. Let him help us with helicopters, because we have several pumps working but they are not enough, ”said the local president.

The fire started on Saturday night and until the early hours of this Sunday a partial balance of 2 people dead and one missing was reported, as well as affecting 50 homes and 250 people, said El Colombiano.

Videos are circulating on social networks that show how the flames got out of proportion in the Chocoano municipality that does not have a fire department and where most of the houses are made of wood.
