Colombia registered 7,924 infections by Covid-19 this November 22: Bogotá jumped from third to first place in daily cases

The Ministry of Health reported, this Sunday, November 22, 7,924 new cases of coronavirus in Colombia. In the last 24 hours, 33,393 tests were processed, 26,969 are PCR and 6,424 antigens.

The report also notes that the number of deaths in the last 24 hours is 183. So then, the country reaches a total of 35,287 deaths since the virus reached the national territory.

Colombia records in total 1,248,417 cases of Covid-19, of which 59,373 are active cases and 1,150,932 correspond to positive cases that have already overcome the disease.

Regarding the contagion of the covid-19 by cities and departments of the country, Bogotá and Antioquia are ahead, followed by Valle del Cauca.

There are 1,864 conglomerates in the country. The territories are: Amazonas, Antioquia, Arauca, Atlántico, Barranquilla, Bogotá, Boyacá, Bolívar, Caldas, Caquetá, Cartagena, Casanare, Cauca, Cesar, Chocó, Córdoba, Cundinamarca, Huila, La Guajira, Magdalena, Meta, Nariño, North from Santander, Putumayo, Quindío, Risaralda, San Andrés, Santa Marta, Santander, Sucre, Tolima, Valle, Vaupés, Vichada, Guaviare and Guainía.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection, through the Sustainable Selective Testing, Tracking and Isolation Program (PRASS), has managed to guarantee the follow-up of confirmed cases that are registered on the SegCovid19 platform, with a current scope of 89%.

“The Ministry has a technical team of specialized professionals in charge of supporting the execution of the program at the national level, which has made it possible to advance by 97.22% in the implementation of PRASS teams in the country”, said Julián Fernández, Director of Epidemiology and Demography.

All confirmed, probable and suspected cases that are entered into the SegCovid19 are subject to mandatory monitoring by the entities in charge of health insurance, affiliates and beneficiaries, and the health secretaries, uninsured population according to the epidemiological risk prioritization that the application throws.

Likewise, the territories that have a 90% or more follow-up of confirmed cases with Covid-19 are: Amazonas, Antioquia, Atlántico, Barranquilla, Bogotá, Bolívar, Casanare, Caquetá, Chocó, Buenaventura, Guainía, Magdalena, Sucre and Valle del Cauca.
