A bus assigned to the Berlinas del Fonce company fell into an abyss in the La Cuesta del Diablo sector, in the jurisdiction of the municipality of La Esperanza, Norte de Santander. So far, the authorities indicated that 17 injured people were rescued. However, they reported that four others lost their lives.
The first versions of the authorities, indicate that the inter-municipal service vehicle with plates WFQ-377, which covered the route between Bucaramanga and Santa Marta, went off the road and fell into an abyss of more than 100 meters, at kilometer 80 + 483.
Immediately, the authorities began an operation to rescue the 22 passengers and the two drivers who were traveling on the bus.

“The people who lost their lives are two women, a girl of approximately two years and a man. In addition, approximately 17 injured people have been evacuated. Five of the injured were transferred to La Esperanza hospital and the rest to San Alberto. Only one person was unharmed, one of the drivers, “the statement said.
Although the accident occurred in the jurisdiction of Norte de Santander, the Santander Traffic and Transportation Police supports the investigation work due to the proximity to the scene of the events. So far the causes of the accident are unknown.
