A bus assigned to the Berlinas del Fonce company fell into an abyss in the La Cuesta del Diablo sector, in the jurisdiction of the municipality of La Esperanza, Norte de Santander. So far, the authorities indicated that 17 injured people were rescued. However, they reported that four others lost their lives.
Early versions of the authorities, said the vehicle intercity service WFQ-377 plates, covering the route between Bucaramanga and Santa Marta veered off the road and fell into an abyss of more than 100 meters, at km 80 + 483.
Immediately, the authorities began an operation to rescue the 22 passengers and the two drivers who were traveling on the bus.

Although the accident occurred in the jurisdiction of Norte de Santander, the Santander Traffic and Transportation Police supports the investigation work due to the proximity to the scene of the events. So far the causes of the accident are unknown.
