Petroleum Alliance tied 2-2 with Millionaires, in the round of 16 match of the Colombia Cup, and then won 4-3 in shots from the penalty spot, to qualify for the quarterfinals and sentence a new blue failure.
Diego Cuadros scored the goal for Alianza Petrolera’s lead in the 6th minute. Andrés Román tied for Millonarios at 31.
In the second half, at 9 minutes, Cristian Arango scored the second for Millos after a touch from Ayron del Valle and a shot from the edge of the area.
César Arias drew a penalty at 17 of the second half, after a very doubtful foul that referee Jorge Tabares sanctioned.

In the series from the penalty spot, Millos goalkeeper Juan Moreno saved the first charge from Freddy Flórez, but then the figure was Ricardo Jerez, Alianza’s goalkeeper, who stopped the shots from Cristian Arango and Eliser Quiñones.
2020 has been forgotten for Millonarios, who did not qualify among the eight, was left out of the South American Cup in the second phase and now is out of the Colombia Cup.
Alianza Petrolera will face Deportes Quindío, which eliminated Deportivo Cali in kicks from the penalty spot.
Also, Nacional, Medellín, Junior and América have qualified, after taking out Águilas Doradas, Pereira, Envigado and Santa Fe, respectively. Cúcuta could not play this Thursday with Tolima and will surely lose at the desk. The Real San Andrés vs. Pasto was postponed to November 25.
