Man accused of throwing his partner from a third floor in the north of Bogotá to jail

The man was captured on November 17 last in the Unilago sector, in the north of the city, after researchers determined that, between 23 and 31 August last, the man kept his ex-partner in an apartment in the Cedritos sector for more than a week.

“The accusing body evidenced that the couple maintained the relationship for a year and a half, and approximately two months before the event had ended. According to what was established, that August 31 in the morning, the young woman would have been the victim of a new attack on the part of the defendant today. The information obtained in the investigations shows that she approached the window to ask for help and threw her jacket with the identification card; However, in the middle of the situation, she fell through the window from a third floor, after being allegedly pushed”, Says the Prosecutor’s Office in a statement.

Fortunately, the woman did not die, and was transferred to a clinic, in which they gave him a 90-day disability, according to the details provided by the authorities.

After the events, the alleged aggressor fled and was arrested a few days ago. The Prosecutor’s Office charged Ortega Niño with attempted aggravated femicide, simple kidnapping, torture and violent carnal access, crimes that he did not accept and was sent to jail.

“CIt should be clarified that this man is indicted in 12 processes, three of these for domestic violence. It was determined that even one is due to the alleged assaults committed against his mother and another, against the mother of his 4-year-old daughter, ”the Prosecutor’s Office clarifies in the statement.
