The reactions to the death of Ruth Agudelo, wife of singer Alci Acosta and mother of ‘Checo’ Acosta, has generated Lamenting reactions in Barranquilla, and this Tuesday the artist from Soledad did it publicly.

The news of the 79-year-old woman’s departure was released the previous afternoon at the Clínica del Caribe, in the Atlantic capital, where she remained after testing positive for covid-19, like the Acosta ones.
Clearly affected, the ‘Checo’ shared with his followers on his social networks an emotional message in which he said goodbye to his mother, whom they knew as the ‘Girl’.
“My mom went to heaven! My mom was my joy. My mom was the soul of the whole family. Admired by all the Soledeño people, Barranquilla and by all the people who had the good fortune to meet her, ”said Acosta.

The musician He added that “there are no words” in the midst of his pain and thanked all the people who have shown solidarity with the difficult time of his family.
“To my mother I say: Mom, thank you for everything! You have left a huge void in my soul and in my heart, but you have left a huge mark with your story in this life. I will always sing and I will always say with pride: ‘I am Ruth’s son’ “, said the ‘Checo’.

The daughter of the ‘Checo’ also shared a special message for the departure of her grandmother, remembering her happily as she is seen in a video. The Barranquilla Carnival Foundation and the Departmental Secretariat of Culture also lamented the event.
