TransMilenio (TM) authorities are on alert. All on account of a video in which two young people are seen on top of one of the buses of the Bogotá mass transport system.
Yes, as you read it: The two subjects were on the roof of the vehicle, while it was in motion, and they shared their recording on social networks.
“Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. I’m a little hoarse because the truth is it’s very cold ”(SIC), one of the young people said in the clip.

“This type of behavior only seeks to attract attention and goes against traffic regulations, the law and endangers the safety of users and the operation of the system,” said TM.

Burglaries through windows
During the last holiday bridge, ‘Citynoticias’ also denounced a form of theft that has been established in TM.
It consists of several people approaching the articulated vehicles while they wait for the traffic lights to change, making a kind of ladder and robbing users through the windows.

Ómar Oróstegui, director of Futuros Urbanos, told the ‘Citytv’ newscast that “Criminals take advantage of the fact that the bus goes with the windows open, 3 or 4 gather and climb on top of each other to commit the crime.
The Santa Lucía and Calle 40 Sur stations, as well as the depressed traffic light on Calle 80 and Avenida Caracas, are the areas of the system where this type of theft occurs most.
“These gangs act, above all, on the trunk lines where there are more traffic lights”, Oróstegui added.
(We recommend: Police would be part of a gang dedicated to the robbery in TransMilenio).
As a measure to combat this problem, 50 uniformed people, on patrol cars and motorcycles, are traveling the system’s tracks: they make searches outside and inside the stations and even on the buses themselves.
