The articulation of capacities allowed the identification of Luis Nehomar García Aponte, alias ‘Chómpiras’. This foreign citizen, allegedly, was part of the group of assailants who tried to snatch Mr. Oswaldo Muñoz’s cell phone and later killed him with a knife on October 29.

The alleged person involved in the events was captured in the El Callejón neighborhood, in Cúcuta (Norte de Santander). The evidence shows that he came to this city to cross the border and return to his country of origin.

The Prosecutor’s Office presented García Aponte before a guarantee control judge and charged the crimes of aggravated homicide with a circumstance of greater punishment, and qualified and aggravated theft in the form of an attempt. The charges were not accepted by the defendant, who received an arrest warrant in a prison.
