At 6:19 pm on Monday, November 16, the Colombian Geological Survey (SGC) reported a new seismic event in the country. This time, it was a 4.2 magnitude earthquake in the municipality of Los Santos in the department of Santander.
According to the authorities, the earthquake was felt strongly in Bucaramanga, capital of the department. The city authorities are conducting the security monitoring.
The depth of the seismic event, explains the SGC, was 147 kilometers. Its precise location is as follows: latitude 6.84 and longitude -73.15.
This is the second tremor that occurs today. The first was reported in the morning at a point near the municipalities of Nóvita, Condoto and Sipí in the department of Chocó.
